Daily Devo - Day 13

SCRIPTURE FOCUS

Philippians 4:19 - And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus (NLT).

PRAYER FOCUS

The Philippian church had been faithful to support Paul in his ministry. In fact, at times they were the only ones who had “entered into partnership” with him through their giving. In the Scripture focus for today, Paul encouraged the Philippians that just as God had always taken care of his needs, God would supply everything that they needed as well.

The world makes many demands on us, but God supplies! When we become aware of God’s abundant provision, the pressure that the world would place on us seems to lessen. Jesus fed five thousand men with just five barley loaves and two small fish (John 6:8-13). The demand of feeding so many people with so little food was met by God’s supernatural supply, multiplying the loaves and fish. The boy brought his small lunch to Jesus and the people were fed with twelve baskets full of leftover barley bread!

RESPONSE

When we have needs, they may involve a lack of time, money, or energy. We can always bring our few resources to God. If we put our money, time, and energy into Jesus’ hands, He can multiply it! Let’s bring our little to Jesus and see Him bring supernatural supply into our lives!
