My husband and I always wanted to build a family. In 2010 we welcomed our son Manny. We knew we wanted more children, and after 5 years of trying to conceive, we decided to pursue foster/adoption. The morning of our second training class, we found out that we were going to have another child. We decided to continue our training as we still felt that this was a journey that God had called us to and knew that we would open our home.
At 5 months pregnant, I went into pre-term labor and delivered our son Abram; sadly, he did not survive. Heartbroken, we began to pick up the pieces and allowed God to begin to heal our family. Just 6 weeks after the loss of our son, we got the phone call for a beautiful 11-month-old girl, Trinity. 3 ½ years later, her adoption was finalized. During the process of Trinity’s fostering, we got a phone call for a 2 -day-old baby boy. With our hearts full of joy, we said yes. 1 ½ years later, we adopted our son, Ty. We couldn’t imagine our family without them.
What the enemy meant for evil, by stealing our son, God turned into something amazing. Now our home is full, our family is complete, and we couldn’t be happier.
